AMHERST – Registration for the Amherst Police Department’s 2018 Cops4Kids camp has begun.

The department will be hosting the camp from July 23 to 27.

Cops4Kids is a mini-police academy with approximately 40 youth able to attend. The goal of the program is to build stronger relationships between law enforcement and local youth.  This year, the program will be held at the Col. James Layton Ralston Armoury.

The camp is free, and open to youth ages 8 to 11.

Registration forms can be picked up at the Amherst Police Department at 21 Havelock St. or can be downloaded at www.amherst.ca/police-department.html.

Completed registrations can be dropped off at the police department or faxed to 902-667-0268.

Space is limited for the program so applicants are urged to send in registration forms as soon as possible.  Please note that past participants cannot reapply.

For more information, please contact the Amherst Police Department at 902-667-7227.
