Under the agreement, that will be finalized at Amherst town council’s June meeting on Monday, CBDC Cumberland will move from its present quarters on Church Street to the former town hall building.
It will pay the town $27,000 plus HST annually for the use of seven offices in the building. As managing partner, CBDC Cumberland will be the body responsible for the daily operations at the centre including scheduling rooms, management, scheduling and monitoring the business centre/hub, incubation offices and accepting payment for bookings on behalf of the town.
There will be a five per cent annual increase for leasing the space to a maximum of $31,250 per year.
