Engage Nova Scotia's Danny Graham speaks during Amherst's first community conversation in February. The second Engage Amherst session is on April 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at ARHS.

The town and Engage Nova Scotia are hosting the community conversation on April 27 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Amherst Regional High School.

This second conversation will be guided by topics chosen at the first event in February. It’s expected that priorities and plans from the first conversation will be further refined and put into action.

Early registration is encouraged for this event since participants will choose in advance which topic they wish to part of.

“It is important to have as many community members involved as we can in this second conversation,” said Mayor Rob Small. “As we dive into our top priorities from the last meeting, the rubber will hit the road and focused conversations will allow our town leaders to plan for tomorrow.”

People can register at www.engagenovascotia.ca/amherst2 or by phoning town hall at 902-667-3352.

The first Engage Amherst event report is also available on the website.
