McKay handed four-year incarceration
Adam Kevin McKay, 27, of West Brook, was sentenced to four-years custody after pleading guilty to assault. McKay was also handed a10-year firearms prohibition, and ordered to provide a DNA sample.
The incident occurred March 4, 2018, in Amherst.
McKay, who was facing an attempted murder charge which was dropped, will also serve concurrent sentences after pleading guilty to:
• unlawful entry with intent to commit an indictable offence, assault, breaching recognizances to not possess weapons abide by a curfew and a no-contact order on March 4, 2018, in Amherst
• obstruction of justice by requesting an individual talk a witness out of appearing in court in return for monetary compensation, and breaching a no-contact order on March 18, 2018, in Amherst
• assault, two counts of breaching a no contact order, two counts of breaching a curfew, and a charge of not to be within 20 metres of a specific address on Nov. 27, 2017, in Amherst.
McKay fined $100
David William McKay, 34, of River Hebert, was handed a suspended sentence, 12-months probation and fined $100 after pleading guilty to breaching a no-contact order.
The incident occurred Feb. 3, 2018, in Amherst.
Aymar fined
Ralph Joseph Aymar Jr., 59, of Halifax, was fined $32,807.78 with one year to pay after pleading guilty to possessing unmarked tobacco.
The incident occurred Oct. 21, 2016, in Fort Lawrence.
