Estabrooks loses license

David Allen Estabrooks, 53, of Parrsboro, was fined $1,690 and prohibited from driving for one year after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration in excess of .08 per cent.
The incident occurred Feb. 12, 2018, in Amherst.

Hopkins pleads guilty

Breanne Leslie Hopkins, 25, of Amherst, will return to court May 14, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to breaching a no contact order, causing a public disturbance, and assaulting a peace officer.

The incident occurred Aug. 10, 2017, in Amherst.

Lafrance fined $100

Stanley Edward Joseph Lafrance, 56, of Sackville, N.B., was handed a conditional discharge, fined $100, and nine-months probation after pleading guilty to assault.
The incident occurred Jan. 1, 2018, in Joggins.


Belliveau sentencing in May

John Robinson, 26, of Belliveau Avenue, Amherst, will return to court May 14 for sentencing after pleading guilty to breaching a probation order to perform 30-hours community service.

The incident occurred between Apr. 25, 2016, and Oct. 24, 2016, in Amherst.

Strong sentenced to custody

Sheldon Leslie Dara Strong, 34, of Amherst, was sentenced to 90-days custody, fined $200 and handed 18 months probation after pleading guilty to assault and uttering a threat to burn down a dwelling home.

The incidents occurred Dec. 24, 2016, in Amherst.
