Arsenault sentenced to custody

Michael Joseph Arsenault, 29, of Amherst, was sentenced to 90-days intermittent custody after pleading guilty to assault causing bodily harm.

As part of his sentencing, Arsenault was also handed 18 months probation, prohibited from owning a firearm for 10years, fined $200, ordered to pay $146.55 in restitution and provide a DNA sample.

The incident occurred May 24, 2017, in Amherst.

Melanson fined

Matthew David Melanson, 35, of Dieppe, was fined a total of $650 and handed a forfeiture order for seized items after pleading guilty to possessing cannbidiol, also known as CBD.

The incident occurred Feb. 9, 2017, in Amherst.
