Smith sentenced to custody

Travis Christopher Smith, 27, of Springhill, was sentenced to four months custody after pleading guilty to:

• unlawfully possession of a controlled substance on Apr. 16, 2018, in Springhill

• breaching a recognizance to abide by house arrest on Apr. 28, 2018, in Parrsboro

• two counts of possessing stolen property on Jan. 2, 2018, in Springhill

• two counts of breaching a recognizance by failing to abstain from alcohol or intoxicating substances and failing to abide by a curfew on Dec. 8, 2017, in Springhill.

McNeil pleads guilty

Emily Anne McNeil, 31, of Amherst, will return to court June 25, for sentencing after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration in excess of .08 per cent.

The incident occurred Mar. 10, 2018, in Amherst.

Carter to pay restitution

Ajay Alexander Simon Carter, 19, of Pugwash, was sentenced to a conditional discharge, 12-months probation, fined $100 and ordered to pay $742 in restitution after pleading guilty to committing an act of mischief by damaging a vehicle.

The incident occurred Mar. 25, 2017, in Pugwash.

Heighton fined

Gary William Heighton, 63, of Meadowville, was fined $1,560 and prohibited from driving for 12-months after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration in excess of .08 per cent.

The incident occurred Oct. 19, 2017, in Little Forks.
