Betts loses drivers license

Tanner John Herald Betts, 18, of Springhill, was fined $1,300 and prohibited from driving for one year, after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration in excess of .08 per cent.

The incident occurred Oct. 10, 2015, in Amherst.

 

Hamilton fined $1,560

Shirley Lynn Hamilton, 39, of Truro, was fined $1,560, prohibited from driving for one year, and sentenced to six months probation, after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration in excess of .08 per cent.

The incident occurred May 23, 2015, in Amherst.

 

Lawless given conditional discharge

Shanda Marie Raylene Lawless, 37, of Amherst , was handed a conditional discharge, six months probation and fined $100, after pleading guilty to uttering a death threat by telephone.

The incident occurred Sept. 28, 2015, in Amherst.

 

Wood pleads guilty to assault

Cara Ashley Wood, 21, of Springhill, will return to court Jan. 11, 2016, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to committing an assault.

The incident occurred Mar. 17, 2015, in Springhill.
