Amherst man facing drug charges following traffic stop

AMHERST – A 26-year-old Amherst man is facing drug charges following a traffic stop on Kent Drive in Amherst on June 13.

Robert Barry Purdy-Huston is charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

He made a brief court appearance and was ordered to return on June 25.

The Cumberland County Street Crime Enforcement Unit made the traffic stop with assistance from the Amherst Police.

The investigation is continuing.
