Nova Scotia woman arrested, man sought after shot fired in Sackville

RCMP are looking for a 33-year-old man in connection with an incident in Sackville this week.

SACKVILLE, N.B. – A 21-year-old woman from Berwick, N.S., has been arrested following an incident earlier this week in Sackville where police say a shot was fired.

Around 1 a.m. on Sept. 7, the Sackville detachment of the Southeast District RCMP was called to a home on Weldon Street where a shot had been fired. No one was injured.

Alyssa Margaret Kelly was arrested later that morning in Antigonish, N.S., by RCMP, She is currently in police custody and will appear in court in Moncton today, Sept. 8. Kelly has been charged with accessory after the fact to careless use of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for 33-year-old Morris James Lanceleve of no fixed address.

The incident is still under investigation.
