SPRINGHILL – The Spring Semester at the Nova Scotia Community College Cumberland Campus kicked into gear today with an orientation.

New and returning students started their orientation Tuesday at the Dr. Carson and Marion Murray Community Centre in Springhill.

The orientation provided the opportunity for students to meet friends both new and old, and to meet campus staff.

The day started with a meet and greet, the principal, Don McCormack, then welcomed them, and then Donna Morrisey, an award winning Canadian author, treated them to an insightful keynote address.

They then had a barbecue, were introduced to the Student Association, and then went to their classrooms.
