Cormier pleads guilty to stealing gas

Ashley Jolene Cormier, 27, of Springhill, will return to court Sept. 8, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to failing to appear in court.

The incident occurred May 5, in Amherst.

Cormier will also return to court for sentencing on Sept 8 after pleading guilty to stealing gasoline, property of Shelly Lynn Schieffer.

That incident occurred March 10, in Springhill.



Borden fined more that $3,000

Andre Jonathan Borden, 29, of Cow Bay, was fined $2,080 or 26 days in jail plus one year probation and a two-year driving prohibition after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration in excess of .08 per cent.

Borden was also fined a further $1,150 or 23 days in jail after pleading guilty to operating a motor vehicle while his license was suspended or revoked.

Those incidents occurred June 21, in Oxford.


Brown gets conditional sentence

Bradley Brown, 39, of Pugwash, was given a conditional discharge with conditions, plus 15 months probation and a $200 fine after pleading guilty to committing assault and unlawfully storing a firearm in an unsafe manner.

The incidents occurred Dec. 24, 2013, in Pugwash


Dowe to return for sentencing

Evan Michael Dowe, 24, of Amherst, will return to court Aug. 26, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to committing an act of mischief by damaging plates, wall, lap top and vehicle belonging to Karla Andrews; assaulting Karla Andrews; and breaking a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

The incident occurred July 14, in Amherst.

Dowe will also be sentenced for three counts of assault, unlawful confinement and utterng a death threat.

Dowe plead guilty to those incidents stemming between Feb. 13, and March 14, in Amherst.


Gabriel pleads guilty to possession

Trevor Jay Gabriel, 31, of Springhill, received a conditional discharge, $100 fine, and probation with conditions for one-year after pleading guilty to unlawfully possessing oxycodone in contravention of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The incident occurred Jan. 8, in Amherst.


Hargreaves pleads guilty to assault

Samantha Hargreaves, 23, of Amherst, received a suspended sentence and nine-months probation with conditions and a $100 fine after pleading guilty to assaulting Jeremy Pettigrew.

The incident occurred July 25, in Amherst.


White to pay $6,500

Carla Anne White, 36, of Amherst, was ordered to pay $6,500 in restitution, plus a $100 fine, as part of a suspended sentence followed by three years probation after pleading guilty to defrauding Dowe Concrete of a sum of money exceeding $5,000.

The incident occurred between Nov. 22, 2011, and March 8, 2013
