AULAC - Ducks unlimited hosted it’s second annual Duck Day in Aulac N.B.
Attendees arrived and would then take a horse and carriage out to the Beaubassin Research Centre, and could get out and go canoeing or critter dipping, “which allows people to learn in concrete fashion how diverse the waters of the wetlands are,” said Krista Elliott of Ducks Unlimited. on the way.
“It’s the second year, it’s basically a way to celebrate the community and our supporters who make it possible for us to do what we do. It’s a way to say thanks,” said Elliott.
There was also kite flying, a retriever demo, and free barbeque. For those who wanted to do hands-on activities you could build small birdhouses and even larger ones for wood ducks.
"It is a gorgeous day for this," said attendee Carol-Ann Smith.
