The Beausejour Ensemble will perform in Parrsboro on June 29 as part of the Classics By The Bay Festival.
PARRSBORO – On Sunday, June 29 at 7 p.m., the Beausejour Ensemble will perform in the Parrsboro Band Hall as part of Parrsboro's Classics by the Bay Festival.
The Beausejour Ensemble is a group of musicians who live and work in the Sackville and Amherst areas. The ensemble for this concert at Classics by the Bay is a quintet comprising five wind players — Anne Varner, flute; Belinda Code, oboe; James Mark, clarinet; William Costin, horn; and Iris Frazer, bassoon.
The musicians in this group have performed, or presently hold positions, in the Kamloops Symphony, the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra, Symphony New Brunswick, the Prince Edward Island Symphony Orchestra, the Charlottetown Festival Orchestra, Symphony Nova Scotia, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra, and Tibor Varga Chamber Orchestra.
James Mark is Conductor Emeritus of the P.E.I. Symphony Orchestra and is the former conductor of the New Brunswick Youth Orchestra.
The Beausejour Ensemble will perform an evening of classical and contemporary music.
