Andy MacDonald, who operated Andy's Dummy Farm, has died.

COBURG, N.B. – Humourist and author Andy MacDonald has died.

The 96-year-old considered himself the “artist in residence” at Andy’s Dummy Farm near Baie Verte, N.B.

The native of Sydney Mines was well known across the Maritimes for his humourous books including “Bread and Molasses,” “Don’t Slip on the Soap,” “Tell Pa I’m Dead,” “Tis Me Again Bye” and “Don’t Be Funny Daddy.”

He also operated Andy’s Dummies on the highway between Port Elgin and Aulac, N.B.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Campbell’s Funeral Home in Sackville, N.B. and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
