Girl Guide Cookies
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Girl Guides selling chocolate and vanilla cookies door-to-door in Amherst.
2 to 6 p.m. at the Collingwood Firehall, 70 Wentworth-Collingwood Rd. Menu includes pancakes, sausages, homemade beans, brown bread, rolls, cake, tea, coffee or juice. Sponsored by the CDVFD Ladies Auxiliary.
Benefit for Scott Chapman
1 p.m to midnight at the Amherst Lions Club, 9 Electric St., Amherst. Live entertainment and live auction throughout the afternoon and evening. Face painting from 2 to 4 p.m. Proceeds to support Scott Chapman, recently diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Southampton Community Centre featuring pancakes, fresh maple syrup, scrambled eggs and baked beans. Proceeds to support community initiatives.
Safe Talk Training and Community Forum
9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Goal of community forum is to help community identify what is needed to make Cumberland County safe from suicide. Supported by Cumberland CAST Coalition.
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Changes School of Hair Design, 8 Croft St., Amherst. Proceeds to support Cat Rescue Maritimers (CA-R-Ma). Call 667-3810 for more information.

Double D 4-H Breakfast
