Jon Pardy has been named to Big Brother Canada's second season.
AMHERST – Fans of the Amherst CIBC Wood Gundy Ramblers may see a familiar face on the second season of Big Brother Canada.
Jon Pardy of Clarenville, N.L. is one of 15 contestants on this year’s edition of the reality program that premiere’s Slice TV on March 5.
Pardy, who is 23 and lists his occupation as a student, spent parts of three seasons with the Ramblers between 2008 and 2011 after being acquired from the Prince Edward Island Rocket of the QMJHL.
In 86 games with the Ramblers, Pardy had nine goals and 13 assists for 22 points, while amassing 261 penalty minutes.
He was traded to the Yarmouth Mariners at the trading deadline during the 2010-11 hockey season.
On Slice’s Big Brother Canada homepage, Pardy describes himself as “fun, energetic and goofy.”
He said his strategy going in is to play off the house a little bit and go in with a game plan that is subject to change.
“Hopefully I’ll get in with another physical competitor, and then he’ll bring a little showmance with a strong girl. Then we’d want to find someone who’s tops in the brain competitions and reel them in…until I don’t need any of them anymore,” Pardy said.
When asked if he could warn one of the houseguests about a character trait, he said he’s not the tidiest guy.
