COLLINGWOOD – More than $25,000 in snowmobiles has disappeared into the cold, Canadian winter night.

Cobequid Mountain Sports in Collingwood was the scene of the late night robbery on Monday, Feb.10, when three machines locked inside the dealer’s compound were stolen. The culprits drove away from the business towards Collingwood centre before proceeding on the Collingwood-Wentworth Road towards Sutherlands Lake.

Since the robber, Cobequid Mountain Sports has posted descriptions of the snowmobiles on its Facebook page, netting over 1,000 shares, says general manager Alex Parker.

“There’s been a lot of sharing and lots of leads, but nothing concrete,” Parker said. “We’ve put it on pour personal pages, too. It’s definitely putting the squeeze on whoever took them.”

The local business is offering $1,000 for the safe return of each snowmobile and anyone with information can contact Parker by email at or by calling 902-686-3218.
