Burke sentenced to custody
Jordan Kenneth Charles Burke, 24, of Amherst, was sentenced to a total of 78 days less time served to be served intermittently, ordered to pay $1,572 in restitution, fined a further $700, and handed a 10-year firearms prohibition after pleading guilty to assault and breaching a probation order to keep the peace and be of good behaviour on Jan. 20, 2018; committing an act of mischief by damaging an RCMP vehicle, assaulting a peace officer, uttering threats to cause bodily harm, breaching a probation order to keep the peace, resisting arrest on Jan. 22, 2018; and uttering a threat to cause bodily harm on Jan. 23, 2018.
The incidents occurred in Wentworth and Pugwash.
Prest handed probation
Raelyn Sonya Prest, 33, of Amherst, was handed a four-month condition sentence followed by six-months probation and fined $100 after pleading guilty to breaching a probation order to abstain from alcohol and intoxicating substances.
The incident occurred Jan. 12, 2017, in Amherst.
Prest was also fined a further $300 after pleading guilty to breaching a probation order to abstain from alcohol and intoxicating substances on Feb. 11, 2017; failing to report to a probation officer between Mar. 13, 2017, and Apr. 12, 2017; and a charge of failing to attend court Mar. 13, 2017.
Those incidents also occurred in Amherst.
Ward fined for meth possession
Michael Andrew Ward, 27, of Oxford, was fined $260 after pleading guilty to possession of methamphetamine.
The incident occurred Aug. 13, 2016, in Oxford.
