Veno sentenced to provincial custody
Ryan Douglas Veno, 26, of Amherst, was sentenced in Amherst Provincial Court to one year provincial custody, fined $700, handed a 10-year firearm prohibition, ordered to provide a DNA sample, followed by two years probation after pleading guilty to possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of psilocybin – otherwise known as magic mushroom – for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of lysergic acid diethylamide [LSD] for the purpose of trafficking.
The incidents occurred Sept. 8, 2017.
Langille plead guilty
Jeremy Joe Langille, 48, of Amherst was sentenced April 23, 2018, in Amherst Provincial Court to a conditional sentence following 24-months probation with reporting and conditions, and fined $100, after pleading guilty to a count of sexual assault.
The courts have imposed a publication ban on any information identifying the victim, complainant or witnesses.
The incident occurred between February 13, 2017, and April 7, 2017.
