Gates fined more than $60,000
William Maxwell Gates, 60, of Hantsport, was fined a total of $61,322.08 after pleading guilty to possession of unstamped tobacco and possession of tobacco on which tax had not been paid.
The courts provided Gates one year to pay.
The incidents occurred Dec. 22, 2016, in Oxford.
Leblanc sent to jail
Denis Wesley Leblanc, 34, of Petit Cap, N.B., was handed 30 days concurrent custody after pleading guilty to breaching an undertaking by not abiding by a stay-away order, breaching a no contact order, breaching an undertaking by failing to abstain from alcohol and intoxicating substances, and resisting arrest.
The incidents occurred July 14, 2017, in Springhill.
Cormier sentencing in February
Hector Cormier, 45, of 4 De l’Eglise, Shemogue, N.B., will return to court Feb. 27, 2018, for sentencing after pleading guilty to break and enter.

Lines handed suspended sentence
Bobbi-Jo Lines, 37, of Amherst, was handed a suspended sentence and 12-months probation after pleading guilty to uttering a death threat.

Fitzpatrick pleads guilty
Nickolas Jay Allen Fitzpatrick, 22, of Amherst, will return to court Feb. 8, 2018, for sentencing after pleading guilty to evading police by failing to stop his vehicle.

Falconer fined $10,000
Aeneaus Scott Falconer, 81, of Scotsburn, was fined $10,000 and suspended from the first two days of the 2018 season after pleading guilty to failing to comply with the conditions of Section 22.7 of the Fishing General Regulations.

Howatt fined $3,000
Stephen Warren Howatt, 55, of Cornwall, was fined $3,000 after pleading guilty to fishing lobster during a closed time.

Charles Carson Johnson, 20, of Truro, was handed a conditional discharge and six months probation after pleading guilty to committing an act of mischief by damaging property.

Veno pleads guilty to multiple drug charges
Ryan Douglas Veno, 26, of Amherst, will return to court Feb. 5, 2018, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of marijuana, possession of psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of LSD for the purpose of trafficking.
The incidents occurred Sept. 8, 2017, in Amherst.
Budd sentencing in February
Dorothy Mae Budd, 38, of Brookdale, will return to court Feb. 5, 2018, for sentencing, after pleading guilty to assault.
