So how was your week? Mine was a worry week but everything turned out fine with all the worry for nothing - and I should know better, but worry is good for you, sometimes it keeps you on your toes.
I went to see my oncologist and he said it was a great checkup, no new tumours, no new brain tumours the old one is shrunk down to nothing, well nothing to worry about. All the other spots in the body are shrinking or have gone way down so they can start taking me off the steroids next week. I will be weaned off them slowly so I don't have to worry about blowing up like a baby blowfish, woohoo, and that's a worry off my mind. Now I can go back to complaining about the tips of my fingers not having feeling. One thing for sure, steroids make you want to eat - everything, all day long - then you have to work at getting the weight off again and it's all around the belly and face. You get a moon face, just like the round moon we had the other night.
Vicky and I went to the healing touch for a really a good session. We are the ones they practise on. You feel the difference the next day. Vicky never believed it before, now she's the first one ready to go, she says she really notices a difference in how she feels in her sore spots.
I went to the hospital for a urine test. I thought I had a urine tract infection, but no, it was all good. I still worried about it because it seemed like I was getting that rotten hurt feeling. No one wants that, so best get it checked before there is something to worry about. I was lucky, woohoo.
I didn't see dad and Janet since they were sitting my brother James's dog. Hopefully they will be over this week. It's lonely when they aren't around.
My friend is home from the hospital. She had her open heart surgery and everything went great, she will be a new person with all the new energy she will have soon. Thank you for all your prayers and good vibes you sent her way.
I heard a saying the other day: Yesterday is long gone and we can't get it back, it's a thing of the past. So don't worry about what happened and tomorrow isn't here yet so don't worry about it, and today is a present, it's called that because it's a gift. So make the best of it you can because that's all there is now, don't throw it away.
When I was having so much trouble with my bowels my father bought me a poopy stoopy, a step that fits around the toilet so when you go, you put your feet up on it and everything is eliminated in the direction it is suppose to be going. What a difference, not one day of constipation since, woo hoo. I know not many people woohoo for going to the bathroom but I do. I put it in the paper ha.
Our weather has been great. It makes it so much harder to walk when the ice is covered. So be very careful and if you really have nowhere to be, stay home and watch TV or do nothing but stay in and save your hip.
Debbie, spring is coming and I can see that you are starting to get ready for it.
When Vicky gets the itch to go to a hot place I know we had too much winter and she's getting the itch. Even Geraldine is getting the want-winter-over blues - won't be long now and you will be over to the beach. I used to love Coal Miner Days when everything went on in town and they closed the main street for the bed races and rocking chair competitions. It was like all Glace Bay was closed down for two weeks, those were the days.
I have to work off 20 pounds again, so anyone who wants to try cutting back, I start Monday. Come on, you can do it and feel great for summer. That's only around the turn.
Have a good week folks... not much time left to sleep, you'll be busy getting the garden ready or out looking for romance, ha.
