If you feel like getting out for a walk and enjoying some fresh air, check out one of the community’s walking tracks.

The Dickey Park walking track is lit at night with washroom facilities available. Just 1.5 times around the track equals one kilometre. The splash pad is scheduled to open in June.

The Rotary Centennial Park walking track offers outdoor fitness equipment spread around the track for use at your leisure with 2.5 laps equals one kilometre. Washroom facilities are open daily.

New last year, the Lions Park track loops the beautiful new tennis courts. A washroom facility is to be constructed in the fall as part of the five-year development plan of the park. Future plans include a splash pad, basketball courts and a standing shelter.

On those rainy days check out the indoor walking track at the Amherst stadium. Five times around equals a kilometre.
