River Hebert Fire Department makes donation to animal shelter

Hey, y'all it's Barnaby back at' er for the Lillian Allbon Cumberland County Animal Shelter on Smith Road.

It's been a great week for cats at the shelter. We sent Momma, Ellie, Kirby and Nibbler (now known as Wringley) off to their forever homes. Remember we have lots of gorgeous kittens available along with many older cats, some with adoption fees waived. And of course we still have long term resident dogs Shadow and Haven available for adoption, along with newcomers Oreo, Charli and Cali. Shadow and Haven need homes with no cats or other dogs in the family. These dogs are diamonds in the rough so if you think you could be that special family please don't pass them by. With love and obedience these sweethearts will make great companions for someone.
Thank you to the River Hebert Fire Department for stopping by with a donation of $102. Big thanks also go out to the Porch Light Restaurant in Pugwash for the $80 raised during their recent BBQ event.
The LA Animal Shelter is fortunate to have Petvalu in Amherst collecting donations for us for the whole month of October! Stop into Petvalu and pick out something for us out of the wish bin or make a monetary donation. The fur kids appreciate the support from Petvalu and from you!
The Pets of the Week are all our adorable kittens. We have so many beautiful babies; males, females, all colours! One little furball even has a heart pattern on her side and one has different coloured eyes. All are looking for loving homes to grow up in. Keep watching for more information on our 2018 Look at Us Now calendar featuring former LA Animal Shelter dogs and cats in their new lives. It's coming out next week! Until next time keep your tail in the air, your heart open wide and don't forget us here at the LA Animal Shelter. We are the little shelter with the big heart.
