Although temperatures have been relatively normal, having virtually no snow has been unusual. We did have a few snowfalls but they were quickly erased with rain. I enjoy the winter and would rather see a blanket of snow than rain showers.

I would like to extend my sympathy to the family and friends of Paulette McCully, who recently passed away. Paulette will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cindy Lake hosted an open house last weekend to celebrate her brother Peter McCully's milestone birthday. Friends and family gathered at the FPW Fire Hall to extend Happy Birthday wishes to Peter.

I have been watching the Olympic coverage these past two weeks. It is always great to see your country competing. As always, Canadians were well represented by a team that showed effort, pride, and heart.

Soon, there will be more activities and events to announce as we move towards spring.
