Congratulations to cat Steamroller as she went off to her forever home with her new dad!
Our Pets of the Week are female cats Zeva and Zoe. This bonded pair lived with a sweet lady until she passed away. Both cats are approximately nine years old, healthy, happy, spayed and declawed. Zeva, the beautiful tabby, is very outgoing and loves attention, while Zoe, the black and white long haired, is a little shy. These cats should be adopted together and because they are seniors and a bonded pair, their adoption fee will be reduced.
The Second Annual Cumberland Pet Expo is coming up Saturday, May 12 at Park Your Paws. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the big dome which is located just passed the hospital and Harrisons on Highway 2.
Admission is $2 per person or $5 for a family. There will be lots of vendors, pet demonstrations, pet information and more so don't miss it. This is a fundraiser for our shelter!
Kitten season is upon us! If you or someone you know has a litter of kittens or cats they cannot keep please contact us at 902-661-PAWS. We have space for more cats and kittens. We are also open daily from 1 to 4 p.m. if you want to stop by.
That's all for now, until next time keep your tail in the air and your heart open wide and don't forget us here at the LA Animal Shelter. We are the little shelter with the big heart.
