I cannot remember having such a beautiful October and November. It has been warmer than usual for this part of the country.

Communities are busy preparing for winter and pre- Christmas events.

On Wednesday, Nov. 8 there will be a flu shot clinic at the FPW Fire Hall from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A foot clinic is being offered on the same day. Please call Sharon Benjamin for a foot appointment (902-348-2105).

On Thursday, Nov. 9 a variety of warm, gently used winter clothing will be available, at no cost, during "Shop My Closet" from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the FPW Fire Hall.

Remembrance Day in our community will begin with a church service at Grace United Church at 2 p.m. Wreath laying will take place at the war memorial following the church service. Lunch will be provided after the wreath - laying ceremony at the FPW Fire Hall. If anyone would like to make a donation to the War Memorial Trust Fund, it would be gratefully appreciated. Donations may be given to any committee member: Wendy McLelland, Ohra Colins, Cindy Lake, Barb Aris or Gail Wagstaff.

The local churches will hold their annual tea and sale on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 1-4 p.m. This is a major fundraiser, and support is appreciated.

On Dec. 3 the Shore Drive Community Development Association will be holding its annual Christmas supper at the FPW Fire Hall. Please call Sharon Benjamin to reserve or to purchase your ticket. It is always a delicious supper and it sells out quickly.

If you would enjoy a stress-free shopping trip by bus to Moncton, N.B., we travel on Dale's bus and have a great day. Usually the bus leaves Port Greville at 8 a.m. and returns around 6-6:30 p.m. Please call Sharon Benjamin for more information.

The Foxy Lady is out of news for now. Have a great week, everyone.
