Did you know members of the Amherst Lions Club are nominating the new Amherst Lions Park to win $250,000 as part of the Kraft Heinz Project Play? The money could help install a new splash pad, basketball court, senior family park area and more. To make this plan a reality, the Lions are looking for help from the community to nominate the new park – the more entries the better the odds!
Visit kraftheinzprojectplay.com to nominate our community and Amherst Lions Park before Aug.18 to be part of the fun, all while helping build Amherst to be the most active, healthy community in Nova Scotia!
Save the weekend of Aug. 24 to 26 to celebrate the Wild Blueberry Harvest Festival in Amherst. From wagon rides and ghost stories to Big Blue Swims, Berry Bingo and celebrations in the square, be part of the action.
More information to be released in the coming days!
