The Christmas tea and sale put on by the churches and the Age of Sail Museum was well attended and I hope that it provided much needed funds for all concerned.

Everyone enjoyed the nicely decorated hall, the lunch, goods for sale, and the fellowship of neighbours and friends.

The Shore Drive Community Development Association will be presenting an evening on Thursday, Dec. 1, beginning at 6:30 p.m., when the community tree will be lit, for all to enjoy. There will be some delicious hot chocolate, a craft for the children, and a chance to mingle with your friends and neighbours. Drop over to the FPW Fire Hall for a night of fun.

Please call Sharon Benjamin at 902-348-2105 if you are planning to go on the bus trip to Moncton, N.B. on Monday, Dec. 5. The cost is only $15 per person. You can enjoy a stress-free trip, do some shopping, and have a nice outing.

Mark your calendars for the two performances of the Living Christmas Tree at Grace United Church, in Port Greville on Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11. There is always a nice and varied selection of music for all to enjoy.

The childrens' Christmas party is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 17 and the community Christmas supper will be on Sunday, Dec. 18. Please call Sharon Benjamin to reserve your ticket as they usually sell out quickly. The cost for the supper is $20 per person.

The weather has been fairly mild lately, so many residents have begun to put up their outside Christmas lights. I am hoping to have mine ready to illuminate by the first weekend of December.

The Foxy Lady is out of news for now. Have a great week, everyone.
