It still feels more like late winter than spring, due to abnormally cold temperatures.

Hopefully, it will soon warm up, the grass will be greener, and the thoughts of spring and summer will be in our thoughts.
I have been enjoying the hockey playoffs and baseball.
Fox River lost a much loved resident on Friday, April 21st. Cynthia Hatfield was liked by all who knew her. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends.
The Shore Drive Community Development Association is holding our Annual Community Cleanup day on Saturday, April 29th. Please meet at the FPW Firehall at 8:30 a.m. to pick up bags, gloves, vests etc. Filled bags may be left along Hwy 209 for pickup. Please join us in helping to keep our roadside clean to enhance the beauty of our area. A dumpster will be made available to all residents at the FPW fire hall grounds on April 30th.
Events coming up include: Seniors' Cafe at the FPW Firehall from 10 a.m. to 12-noon. Come and learn about safety issues and contact numbers available for safety concerns, questions, and issues.
Arlene Collins will be leading a "Paint Night" on Friday May 19th at the fire hall from 6-8:30 p.m. Cost is $40 per person. Please register by calling 902-348-2939.
