Sympathy goes out to wife, Doreen Tuttle, children and all family members on the passing of Melbourne Tuttle, ECL., formerly of Fountain Road, on Feb. 28. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

Birthday greetings go out this week to Cheryl Broughton, Westchester; Vicky Lynds, Wentworth; Joey Crummey, Fredericton; David Elliott, Gulf Shore; Tom Webb, S. Pugwash; and Craig Halverson, Pugwash.

Jill Blaikie was the winner of the Pugwash Firemen's 50/50 draw on Wednesday night; Frank McQueen was the consolation winner at Chase the Ace at the Royal Canadian Legion, Peace Br. #60 on Saturday; and there was no winner again this week of the Pugwash Co-Op Toonie Draw.

Wasn't it wonderful to see that there were 31 people in on the big lottery of $60 million, which went to Come-By-Chance, Newfoundland last week? I believe they were boiler makers at an Oil Refinery Group. Great to see so many people shared this hefty amount of money. How it will change so many lives.

On Wednesday, Shirley White went by bus to visit her family in Saint John, N.B. Charlene and children drove her home on Friday and stayed for the weekend. Aidan is staying for his March Break, and Charlene and Kelsie returned home on Sunday.

On Saturday, Charlene, Aidan, Kelsie, Barry and Ronalda Smith, and Shirley visited with Ken and Bonnie Langille, Malagash.

I understand the annual Johnny Cash 'Open Hamper' Promotion held at the Pugwash Co-Op on Feb. 23 was a big success. It is great that our community supports this worthwhile cause and is able to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Hats off to the Steve Arkens and staff at the Co-op and to all who volunteered their services to make this happen.

Shirley and John Fortier, Riverview, dropped in to visit Mary Doyle this week. She is blessed to having a great upstairs tenant, Sandra, who drops in every day, and Mary had some of Sandra's family drop in but names eluded her tonight. Will try and fix that for next week.

My gang and I went to Murray Siding on Saturday afternoon to help son-in-law, Kevin LeBlanc, officially celebrate his birthday. Being a Leap Year baby, he only gets to have a real birthday every four years. We enjoyed all kind of snacks, and of course, birthday cake, ice-cream, and many laughs. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.

Callers with me this week include Eleanor Conrad, Roslin; Grant and Janet Patterson, Hastings; Denise Darragh, Kate Wilson, and Bruce Gullon, Wallace; Lillix Polley, Peggy Wentzell and Janet Gullens, Pugwash; Dana and Kevin surprised me and dropped in for supper on Wednesday.

Please keep all our sick and shut-ins in your thoughts and prayers this week.
