Port Greville News with Gail Wagstaff

This past weekend the weather has been typical for this part of Canada. We have had snow, freezing rain, high winds and more rain, along with bitterly cold temperatures.

Hopefully, we will have a white Christmas with enough snow to make it beautiful, but safe to travel.

Our children’s Christmas party was enjoyed by all. A craft was completed by each child and Santa arrived with their gifts after lunch.

Brenda Payne and her "elves" did a fantastic job preparing a Christmas dinner for about 88 guests. Many door prizes were won by several in attendance. These were generously donated by local businesses.

Holy Trinity Anglican church in Fox River will hold its Christmas Eve service at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24.

My sister Anita and brother-in-law Wayne have been visiting this past weekend. It is always great to have them visit and enjoy our beautiful community and its people.

I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, Happy New Year. May you all experience love and joy throughout the holidays and all through the year.

The Foxy Lady is out of news for now. Have a great week, everyone.
