Zumba Fun for Kidney - Amherst Fire Hall - Registration 10:30 - Class 11 am - 1 pm.

Camp TAWASI is having a pancake breakfast at Humphrey Memorial United Church in Moncton from 7to 11 a.m. Admission a donation to camp. There will also be a bake table. All proceeds towards the camps operating cost.

Pancake Supper

Fenwick United Church will host a pancake supper from noon to 6 p.m. Pancakes, Sausage, Beans, Biscuits, Sweets Tea and Coffee. Maple Products

Musical Evening

 The Amherst 50+ Club, 52 Croft St. will hold a Musical Evening, starting at 8 pm, with a light lunch at 11pm.  Everyone 50 and over, welcome.  Call 667-1058 for more info.

Open mic

The Parrsboro Band Assc. will host Open Mic Night at 7 p.m. An evening of entertainment with musicians from all over the county and beyond. Free will donation at the door, a 50/50 draw, canteen facilities available and a good time for all. (Note this will be held at The Hall if the Diligent River facility has not yet reopened.)

For the Kids

From 10-Noon ‘Catilina Magdalena Hopensteiner Wallendiner Hogan Logan Bogan’ … phew that’s a mouthful!!!  A morning of family fun, free play, a story, art and a healthy snack!  Register at Maggie's Place 667-7250.

Lumbercamp supper

A Lumbercamp supper will be held from  4 to 5:30 pm at the firehall Port Greville. Pancakes, sausages, hashbrowns, beans, fishcakes, rolls or biscuits, gingerbread and brown sugar sauce, coffee and tea.

All proceeds to The Age of Sail Museum.


The Masonic Breakfast will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Masonic Temple, Lawrence St

The Amherst Lions Club will host a Bluegrass concert featuring Bluegrass Tradition & Rustic Harmony at 7 p.m.


 A cribbage tournament will be held at the Amherst 50+ Club, 52 Croft St.,at 1:30 p.m.  Registration at 1 p.m.  Please bring a partner.


The Parrsboro Band Assc. will host a children’s Matinee Movie at 3:15 p.m.  

YOGI BEAR. Rated for ‘mild rude humour’  Family fun on the big screen with loads of hot buttered popcorn.

Roast Beef Supper

The R.C.A.F. Assoc. 105 Cumberland Wing, Havelock St. is holding it's Roast Beef supper from 4 to 6 P.M. Eat in or take out. Deliveries inside town limits. Call 667-9262

The Parrsboro Band Assc. will host a special showing of the documentary “PAPER PROMISES” at 8 p.m. followed by a commentary by Bruce Graham who has connections to the characters in the film. Freewill donations at the door.   Note: film is unrated but apparently contains some ‘strong’ language.


The Christian Women’s Club will host the “Wearin’ O’ the Green Luncheon, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and will feature an Irish dancer, Irish music and an inspirational speaker. For reservations call Carolyn 661-1080, Pat 597-2971 or Pat 667-3729.

The annual Men's Maple Festival Pancake Dinner at Trinity St Stephens United Church in Amherst from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Heartz Hall on Ratchford  Street. Menu includes pancakes, sasuage, baked beans, rolls, maple  syrup, pie, tea or coffee. For takeouts call 667-8483 . Maple products available.

The Parrsboro Band Assc. will host the Stadacona Band in concert at 2 p.m. at the Parrsboro Regional High School in partnership with the high school and the air cadets.

Spring concert

The Parrsboro Band Assc. will host its annual Spring Concert with the Parrsboro Band.    Guest musicians and performers. This event will celebrate the life of long time bandmaster Bernie Burke with the dedication of the main auditorium in his honour. Free will donations at the door. Further details to be announced.
