Dr. Tanya Sparling is the new owner of Tantramar Veterinary Hospital on Main Street in Sackville, New Brunswick.
“I love Sackville and I love what I do. When I found out Dr. Gina Bradet was retiring, it made sense to expand across the border,” said Sparling, who was born and raised in Upper Nappan.
When Dr. Gina Bradet was looking for a new owner for Tantramar, continuity of quality care was a top concern.
“Dr. Tanya will be spending most of her client hours here, along with Dr. Emily (Youe),” said Bradet, “and I know they practice good quality medicine, and take time with their patients.”
It was also a priority for Bradet to ensure a new owner could offer 24-hour care nearby.
“We have a 24-hour emergency service at Amherst,” said Sparling, the new owner, “and offer everything from ultrasound to digital radiography. We have dental radiography and a therapeutic laser, as well. I’ll be performing laser treatments in Sackville, too.”
The doctor says her Amherst practice has grown considerably since she purchased the facility in 2012.
“It’s been extremely gratifying, and I have my neighbours in Cumberland County and across the border to thank for it,” she said. “Improvement is a constant process, however. Last year we achieved AAHA accreditation and this year we’re introducing our brand of care to Sackville.”
Sparling says she’s thrilled to be back in Sackville.
“It’s a great town and I’m excited to be part of it. I hope people will drop by just to say hello – even if they don’t have a pet!” said the veterinarian.
Tantramar Veterinary Hospital is located at 51 Main St. in Sackville.
