HALIFAX – Archway Insurance, one of Atlantic Canada’s largest insurance brokerages, is flying a group of employees to Toronto this week to attend the Insurance Business Canada 2017 Awards.

Archway Insurance and an employee were nominated in three categories: Big Brokerage of the Year, Outstanding Claims Service and Young Gun of the Year.

“To be nominated for three awards by our insurance peers at a national level is an incredible honour,” says Archway Insurance CEO Michael Stack. “Win or lose, we’re humbled to be a finalist alongside top brokerages and brokers from across the country.”

Archway Insurance, which is headquartered in Amherst, is nominated for the Big Brokerage of the Year. This award is given for outstanding broker practice. This award goes to the business in which the total number of registered brokers is over 100 individuals.

Archway is also nominated for Claims Service. This award acknowledges insurances companies, offices and independent adjusting firms with a proven track record of providing their clients with superior support. Whether it is providing best-in-class assistance or reducing turnaround times, customer support is essential for client satisfaction. This award recognizes the industry player that has mastered that service and is number one on all fronts.

Archway Insurance – Halifax broker Luke Keun is nominated for the Young Gun of the Year Award. This award is for the outstanding achievement by a young broker within the insurance space. This accolade goes to the new industry player under 40 who has exceled at pushing the envelope with innovation and growth, garnering industry’s attention and the respect of peers.

In addition to these national insurance accolades, Archway Insurance – Halifax is a finalist in the Halifax Chamber of Commerce Award category of Business of the Year. The awards ceremony for this event takes place in January 2018.

“Our business doubled in size in 2017, so we’ve been heads down working on integrating our new locations and welcoming employees to the Archway team,” says Archway Insurance president Gina McFetridge. “To cap off a busy year with recognition at both the national and local level feels amazing.”
