Spartans trampoline team has strong provincials

BIBLE HILL - The Cobequid Spartans had a strong showing at the recent Nova Scotia Trampoline and Tumbling Championships hosted by the Dartmouth Titans.
Zachary Bernard led the way with a pair of gold medals in both trampoline and double mini in the C 13 and over division while Emily Scott was 13th in trampoline.
Katelyn MacLeod won gold in C 13 and over double mini while finishing fifth in tumbling and eighth in trampoline.
Meghan Ramsay nabbed bronze in D 13 and over tumbling while finishing eighth in C 13 and over double mini and 14th in
trampoline.
Tamara Toole was sixth in B division double mini and was seventh in C 13 and over trampoline. She also received the Amanda Forester Memorial Award for sportsmanship.
Jeff Ramsay claimed gold in C 12 and under trampoline and took silver in B double mini. Emma Henderson won silver in C 12 and under double mini and was third in trampoline. Michelle Totten was fourth in C 12 and under trampoline while finishing seventh in double mini.
Members of the team will move on to the Eastern Canadian Trampoline & Tumbling Championships May 1-4 at Acadia University.
