E.B. Chandler nabs silver at badminton provincials

TRURO - E.B. Chandler Junior High picked up the silver medal at the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation badminton championships over the weekend, losing by a single match to Sackville Heights - a team it beat in the round-robin portion of the tourney.
The mixed doubles team of Joey O'Dell and Amanda Wheaton did strike gold on Saturday, while Taylor Hicks and Elyse Ferguson won the bronze medal in the junior girls doubles competition.
Other members of the junior team included Peter Woo, Matt Beal, Christian Hansen and Jennifer Cameron.
In intermediate action, the mixed doubles team of Jeff Mackintosh and Krista Surrette placed fourth.
