YARMOUTH, N.S. About 330 people on the high-speed ferry the Cat had to be evacuated Thursday after someone called in a bomb threat that turned out to be false.

The ferry was docked in Bar Harbor, Maine, preparing to depart for Yarmouth, N.S., when the threat was made.

U.S. Coast Guard officials and police with bomb-sniffing dogs searched the vessel but found nothing.

The all-clear was given several hours later.

The ferry was scheduled to leave Bar Harbor at 9 a.m. but didnt leave until noon.
