The Swift Current Comp. Ardens are one step closer to a third straight title in the Moose Jaw High School Soccer League after a 6-1 semi-final win over the Moose Jaw AE Peacock Tornadoes.
The Ardens led 4-0 at the half as they cruised to a third straight finals appearance.
Cassidy Andres paced the offense with three goals, Tara Kirkpatrick added a goal and an assist, and Brittany Schafer had two assists. Daelin Bakken and Kaylee Kyle also scored crucial goals in the first half, while Rachel Selke added an assist.
Cassandra Furey-Cameron earned the win in goal for the Ardens.
The top seeded Ardens (8-0) will now face the second seeded Weyburn Eagles (6-1-1) in the gold medal match. The Arden defeated the Eagles 1-0 in their first game of the regular season.
The championship final will be played Tuesday afternoon in Moose Jaw.
