Martel wins 222nd game as Chicoutimi Sagueneens take Quebec Remparts 4-1

With two coaches trying to make history, Chicoutimi's Richard Martel came out on top.
Captain Antoine Roussel had a goal and an assist as the Chicoutimi Sagueneens took the Quebec Remparts 4-1 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Sunday night.
The Sagueneens' coach Martel won his 222nd game, tying Gaston Drapeau for most victories with the Chicoutimi franchise.
Martel has been the Sagueneens' head coach since 2003. He also coached the now-defunct St.-Hyacinthe Lasers (1993-95), the Val-d'Or Foreurs (1995-98) and the Baie-Comeau Drakkar (1998-2003).
The Remparts' Patrick Roy continues to look for his 200th win as a coach in the QMJHL.
Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was Moncton 2 Cape Breton 1; Baie-Comeau 3 Drummondville 2; P.E.I. 4 Halifax 1; Gatineau 5 Val-d'Or 4; Victoriaville 5 Rimouski 4 (OT); and Rouyn-Noranda 5 Montreal 3.
At Chicoutimi, Que., Alexandre Roy, Alexandre Lemieux and Jacob Lagace had markers for the Sagueneens (15-16-8).
Samuel Groulx scored the only goal for Quebec (25-11-6).

Wildcats 2 Screaming Eagles 1
At Moncton, N.B., Marek Hrivik scored the winner with less then three minutes left to play as the Wildcats nipped Cape Breton.
Mark Barberio had a power-play goal for Moncton (24-11-4).
Patrick Lapostolle was the lone scorer for the Screaming Eagles (24-13-5).

Drakkar 3 Voltigeurs 2
At Baie-Comeau, Que., Maxime Renaud's second period goal was the winner as the Drakkar held off a Drummondville rally.
Dominic-Antoine Tremblay and Mike Villeneuve also scored for Baie-Comeau (13-23-3).
Ondrej Palat and Benoit Levesque answered for the Voltigeurs (29-11-2).

Rocket 4 Mooseheads 1
At Charlottetown, P.E.I., Samson Mahbod scored twice as P.E.I. downed Halifax.
Michael Stinziani had a goal and an assist for the Rocket (21-17-3), while Benjamin Casavant added a single.
Gabriel Desjardins was the lone scorer for the Mooseheads (8-30-3).

Olympiques 5 Foreurs 4
At Gatineau, Que., Tye McGinn had a hat trick as the Olympiques edged Val-d'Or.
Alex Noel and Vincent Barnard also scored for Gatineau (22-17-3).
Jonathan Hazen and Alexandre Quesnel had a goal and an assist for the Foreurs (15-21-4), while Alexandre Touchette and Matthieu Theriault added singles.

Tigres 5 Oceanic 4 (OT)
At Rimouski, Que., Brandon Hynes scored in overtime and added an assist as Victoriaville sank the Oceanic.
Philip-Michael Devos had a goal and two assists for the Tigres (26-13-2), while Chris Doyle, Yannick Dube and Guillaume Goulet also tallied.
Petr Straka scored twice for Rimouski (21-13-6), while Patrick Delisle-Houde and Felix Lefrancois added markers.

Huskies 5 Junior 3
At Verdun, Que., Sergey Ostapchuk had a pair of goals as Rouyn-Noranda out-played Montreal.
Ben Miller, Jean-Sebastien Berube and Pier-Luc Giguere also scored for the Huskies (23-17-3).
Nicolas Chouinard scored twice for the Junior (18-18-3) and Chris Thorne added a single.
