Mounties have busy homecoming weekend planned

SACKVILLE, N.B. - This weekend will be one of the busiest for the Mount Allison Mounties as they prepare for the annual homecoming festivities.
Action starts on Friday evening when the Mounties host Holland College in Atlantic Colleges Athletic Association women's and men's rugby matches at 7 and 8:30 p.m., on Park Street Field.
These will be the first home games for the defending league champions.
On Saturday at 11 a.m., on Park Street Field, the men's soccer alumni Mounties will have a friendly game. A tailgate party and barbecue at the Wallace McCain Student Centre will follow from noon until 2 p.m.
The homecoming football game will take place at 2 p.m., on MacAulay Field, against the St. Francis Xavier X-Men.
On Sunday at 1 and 3:15 p.m., the soccer Mounties will also host St. F.X. in Atlantic University Sport action on MacAulay Field.
The Mounties are undefeated, with the women at 2-0 and the men at 1-0-1. The women snapped a 42-game winless streak last weekend.
On Saturday at 6:30 p.m., in the McCain Student Centre, Mount Allison will host a recognition reception to recognize and pay tribute to the contributions of recently retired athletic director Jack Drover.
Drover had been employed with Mount Allison for 35 years andserved as coach of the men's and women's hockey teams and the men's soccer team. He had been athletic director since 1991.
