TORONTO - ''Joseph'' is stepping aside to make room for ''The Boys.''
Mirvish Productions says it's dropping a previously announced Toronto run of ''Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'' in favour of the new Ben Elton-Andrew Lloyd Webber musical ''The Boys in the Photograph.''
The show will run from Oct. 20 to Nov. 29 at the city's Royal Alexandra Theatre.
''The Boys in the Photograph,'' directed by Elton, just wrapped up a run in Winnipeg.
Set in Belfast in the late 1960s and '70s, it tells the story of a group of men and women involved with a local soccer team at the outset of a 30-year civil war.
It began life under the title ''The Beautiful Game,'' playing for a year in London's West End, from September 2000 until September 2001.
