Offensively we had lots of chances and hit three crossbars in the first half. It easily could have finished at 3-0 for us, he added.
ARHS will play a home and home series this season with South Colchester and Hants East for seeding purposes later down the road in provincial playoff action.
The top team will get a bye and second and third will play off at the second place finisher for the right to make it into the regional final.
(South Colchester) had a few good chances, but our defence worked hard and played well keeping them to the outside the entire game, he said.
Gould said strikers Matt Bartley, BenHarrison and Dylan Ripley all produced good scoring chances throughout the contest.
The Vikings will play in a 16-team boys tournament this weekend at the University of Moncton.
