PUGWASH - It came down to a battle between Pugwash and Oxford in the finals of the 2010-2011 NSSAF Division 4 girlâ€™s basketball championship tournament, and in the end it was the Pugwash Panthers who clinched the title with a 57-41 win over the Oxford Golden Bears last weekend at Lockeport Regional High School.
Pugwash began their championship run on Thursday with an 88-47 win over Armbrae, and then on Friday they trounced Inverness by a score of 72-33 in the semifinals before winning the championship on Saturday.
Oxford kicked the tournament off on Thursday with complete and utter domination over North Colchester, beating them 86-16.
