TRURO, N.S. - Prime Minister Stephen Harper says the federal government will help fund a new $50-million arena complex in Truro, N.S.
Harper attended an announcement today for the facility, which will house an NHL-sized hockey rink, a walking track, a pool and fitness centre.
The Nova Scotia government says it is matching the $10 million contribution coming from the federal government.
The civic centre is to be located on land bordering the Town of Truro, Colchester County and the Millbrook First Nation.
The federal funding is coming from the government's economic stimulus program.
