Icy Roads cause spill in Wentworth

WENTWORTH - Highway 4 is expected to be closed for most of the day after slippery roads sent a tanker truck carrying 51,000 litres of aviation fuel into the ditch.
RCMP from Amherst and Oxford responded to the scene along with the Wentworth Fire Department, Department of Transportation and HazMat units from Amherst and New Glasgow are also on scene.

    The road that this tractor trailer was on is not closed to tri-axle or b-trains.So the driver can't be fined for it is not a closed road.

    i believe there is a small airport in Fox harbour....at the resort...

    I didn't know there was an airport for delivery of aviation fuel in Wentworth? Unless the pass was closed, I can't imagine what a tractor trailer was doing on Rte 4? Hopefully everyone was alright, but the driver should be fined for being on a closed road if that was the case.
