Local player nabs Holland College award

CHARLOTTETOWN - Amherst native Matt Fowler was recently named a Holland College Hurricanes' athlete of the week.
Fowler, a second-year sport and leisure management student, had another solid weekend for the Hurricanes mens basketball team, leading them to wins over Mount Allison and Crandall, recording double-doubles in both wins.
Fowler, a six-foot-five forward, has had a great season to date for the 'Canes. He has provided scoring and leads the team in rebounding.
