BORDEN-CARLETON, P.E.I. - It's been a long wait for several truck drivers but the Confederation Bridge linking New Brunswick and P.E.I is finally open again.

Restrictions on high-sided vehicles were lifted just after seven o'clock Sunday morning.
The span over the Northumberland Strait was closed to trucks and other high-sided vehicles early Friday because of strong winds.
On Saturday some gusts were clocked at 133-kilometres-an-hour.
It's the longest stretch for restricted travel since the bridge opened in May 1997.
