Bad weather postpones Phoenix-Cougars playoff tilt until today
TRURO - The Cobequid Cougars travel to Halifax today attempting to knock off the heavily favoured Citadel Phoenix.
The Nova Scotia High School Football League quarterfinal was postponed yesterday due to a November storm.
The game will be played today at 5 p.m. at Saint Mary's University in Halifax.
The Cougars will be looking to avenge an earlier loss to their archrival. During this year's Turkey Bowl the Cougars were trounced 66-8 and only scored their touchdown in the final minutes of the contest.

Faulkner Financial lights up Henderson Plumbing
DEBERT - Ali MacEachern and Kevin Hayden each scored twice as Faulkner Financial Group trounced Henderson Plumbing and Heating 9-0 in Labatts West Colchester Commercial Hockey League action.
Sandy MacKenzie, James Porter, Greg Mullen, Denis Putnam and Shane Holman each added singles in the win.
In other action, it was Devin Thompson scoring a pair to lead Sexton Auto Service to a 4-2 victory over Multiserve Petroleum Equipment. Keith Hunter and Al MacMillan added singles while Nathan Dickie and Tim Burke replied for Mutliserve.

Coaching certification workshops coming up this month
TRURO - The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) is offering an introduction Part A workshop in Truro.
The Level 1 theory course will be held Nov. 20 and 21 in Room 225 of Forrester Hall on the Nova Scotia Community College campus. The course will be conducted by Ralph Brine and is $25. The NCCP is an educational program for athletes and coaches teaching the principles of coaching, planning, sport safety and
development.
Those interested must pre-register by contacting Cathy Hinton at 895-6789.
