Halifax man facing trial in highway crash that killed man, injured two others

HALIFAX - A Halifax man has been committed to stand trial on three impaired driving charges stemming from a fatal car crash two years ago.
Leonard Warren Morash, 48, was driving a vehicle that collided head-on with another vehicle on Highway 333 in West Dover in December 2007.
One of Morash's passengers, Barry Morash, 55, of West Dover, died in the crash.
The two occupants of the other vehicle were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Morash is charged with impaired driving causing death and two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm.
He will appear in Supreme Court in Halifax on Nov. 19 to have dates set for a pretrial conference, which will help determine how much time will be needed for trial.
